Galapagos Islands, Ecuador

We visited the Galapagos Islands in June.  We flew from Guayaquil to Baltra and then took a ferry to Santa Cruz Island.  Our first stop was El Chato Tortoise Reserve where we got to see giant tortoises roaming around.  We also visited the Charles Darwin Research Station.

On the second day we took a catamaran to Bartolome Island.  On the way out we had hundreds of dolphins join our trip and surf off the bows of the catamaran.   We took a hike to the top of Pinnacle Rock and then went snorkeling.  We saw penguins, sea lions, turtles, and so many fish.  We also saw Pelicans and Blue Footed Boobys diving into the water.

Day three the catamaran took us to North Seymour Island, where we saw nesting Blue Footed Boobys, Frigate Birds, some iguanas, more sea lions and pelicans. After we went to another island where we snorkeled and took a hike to a pond where there were flamingos.
